This is THE original cloth diaper! One size, adjustable, fits from birth through potty training, and made from 100% cotton birdseye. Flats are the most versatile cloth diaper style and the easiest to use when traveling because of the fact that they are very trim, they’re easy to wash and dry fast.

The flat diapers are 31.5” x 31.5” (or 80 cm x 80cm), but will shrink about 10% after washing. The prints will also fade a little after the first wash. There are 6 diapers per package. Each diaper is 90 gm/3.2 oz per piece. Made in China.

    HOW TO FOLD THE DIAPERS:
There are several ways to fold your flat diapers.  Here are two methods:

    ORIGAMI FOLD
    - this provides a neat and trim coverage, and allows you to put the bulk of the diaper where you need it most.

KITE FOLD - this is a simple way to fold the diaper for bigger babies about 6 months or older

    Wash and Care:

    Before Using the Diapers

The diapers need to be pre-washed on hot at least once before use. The diapers will shrink and get thicker with the first few washes.

    Washing the Diapers

Keep your wet and dirty diapers in a diaper pail.  Wash your diapers in warm or hot water with the recommended amount of detergent as stated on the detergent’s container.  Too much or too little may cause your diapers to possibly stink, leak, or leave baby with a rash.

An additional rinse can be used for particularly soiled loads. Make sure that your diapers are rinsed clean. Any residue from poop, urine, detergent or vinegar can make your diapers smell.   Tumble or line dry.

Do not use fabric softener.  It will coat the diapers making them water repellent and reduce the absorbency of the diaper. Be aware that if you use dryer sheets in your dryer for other laundry this can coat your dryer and transfer to your diapers.

Do not use bleach.  This will cause the fabric's fibers to break down.

Do not use diaper rash creams without using a protective liner between your baby's skin and the diaper.  Creams will leave a waxy residue on the fabric making them less absorbent, water repellent and may potentially cause leaks.  If you need to use a rash cream, you should use a stay-dry liner or a piece of fleece between your baby's bottom and the diaper to prevent the cream from transferring onto the diapers.

    Stain removal.

If staining occurs, it is important that any products used on the diapers and covers to remove the stains are mild so as not to irritate the baby’s skin and/or cause the diapers to prematurely deteriorate.  In most cases, laying the stained diapers out in the sun is the safest and most effective way of removing stains.

I use these pad folded in my GroVia shells. They are a great, cost effective alternative to their Organic Cotton Soakers that are a few dollars more for only 2! I get 6 diaper changes for that. I use this combo at home to save wear on my more expensive pocket diapers that go to daycare. It's easy and absorbent!
